    An agile team wanted to improve its process. They used value stream map to check value adding and non-value adding activities. Earlier Value added time was 18 minutes and non-value added time was 36 minutes. After analysing scope of improvement, value added time was 18 minutes and non-value added time was 20 minutes. By what percentage process efficiency got increased?

    a. 33%
    b. 47%
    c. 14%
    d. 39%

    Correct answer is C.

    Earlier process efficiency = Value added time / Total Time = 18 / (18 + 36) = 33 %

    Now process efficiency = Value added time / Total Time = 18 / (18 + 20) = 47 %

    Imrpovement in Process Efficiency = 47% – 33% = 14%
