An agile team consists of 8 members. All members have got very good relations with each other. In the middle of the Sprint 5, one of the member fell ill and took leave till the end of the Sprint 5. As a Scrum Master, what would you do?
a. Ask the team to complete all stories as planned in the Sprint Planning meeting.
b. Reduce the velocity for the Sprint 5 considering only 7 members are available and ask team to finish updated set of user stories.
c. Reduce the velocity for the Sprint 5 officially but internally ask team members to complete original number of user stories.
d. Ask the team how much they can complete and communicate the same to other stakeholders.Correct answer is D.
Since in Agile, Development Team is self-organized and self-directed, therefore, team will decide how many story points they will do considering one of the member went on leave.
