    An agile team wanted to improve its process. They used value stream map to check value adding and non-value adding activities. Earlier Value added time was 18 minutes and non-value added time was 18 minutes. After analysing scope of improvement, value added time was 18 minutes and non-value added time was 9 minutes. By what percentage process efficiency got increased?

    a. 50%
    b. 67%
    c. 17%
    d. 57%

    Correct answer is C.

    Earlier process efficiency = Value added time / Total Time = 18 / (18 + 18) = 50 %

    Now process efficiency = Value added time / Total Time = 18 / (18 + 9) = 67 %

    Imrpovement in Process Efficiency = 67% – 50% = 17%
